Pain shrinks your world one habit at a time: the run you stopped taking, the shelf you no longer reach, the sleep you ration around a shoulder. Physiotherapy at AuraWell is about getting that world back. A registered physiotherapist assesses what is driving the problem, then rebuilds strength and confidence with you, week by measured week.
Because AuraWell is Nurse Practitioner-led, physiotherapy here reaches further than a standalone studio. If your recovery needs imaging, a medication review or a specialist referral, the clinician who can arrange it is down the hall.
Every technique earns its place in your plan; nothing is routine for routine's sake.
Hands-on joint and soft-tissue techniques to ease pain and restore movement, used alongside exercise rather than instead of it.
A progressive program that builds strength, mobility and control, with a short home program that fits into an ordinary day. Your physiotherapist checks it at each visit and drops what is not helping.
For stubborn tendon and heel pain that has not improved with exercise alone. Short pulses of acoustic energy are delivered to the painful area. Sessions take a few minutes, are usually weekly for several weeks, and can be booked on their own or added to a treatment.
May be used to support tissue healing and ease pain, offered only when clinically appropriate for your condition.
Your first visit is a full hour: history, movement testing, strength and joint assessment, a clear explanation of what is going on, and your first treatment. You leave knowing what it is, what we will do about it and roughly how long it should take.
Low back pain and sciatica top the list, followed by neck pain and the stiffness that comes with long hours at a desk or behind the wheel, and headaches linked to neck tension.
Rotator cuff strains, impingement and frozen shoulder; knee pain from running, arthritis or a twisted landing; ankle sprains that never quite settled; and hip pain that changes the way you walk. Exercise is one of the most effective treatments for knee and hip osteoarthritis.
Tennis and golfer's elbow, Achilles pain, plantar fasciitis and patellar tendinopathy often respond slowly to rest alone and well to a structured loading program.
Repetitive strain from work, balance problems and dizziness, and the gradual loss of strength and confidence that follows a long period of pain.
After a joint replacement, ligament reconstruction, fracture repair or shoulder surgery, the right exercise at the right time makes a real difference. Your physiotherapist follows your surgeon's protocol, restores range of motion safely and rebuilds strength in stages. Extended 60-minute rehab sessions suit these more complex recoveries. Bring your surgical notes and hospital instructions to your first visit.
Hockey, soccer, basketball, dance, running and golf keep Vaughan families busy. We treat sprains, strains, overuse injuries and post-concussion neck symptoms in young athletes and adults, with a safe, gradual return to sport rather than simply resting until the pain fades. If an injury needs imaging or a medical opinion, our Nurse Practitioners can assess it in the same clinic. Athletes can also pair rehab with registered massage therapy or IV recovery drips on site.
Initial assessment $125 for 60 minutes, including your first treatment. Follow-up treatment $100 for 45 minutes. Extended rehab session $150 for 60 minutes. Shockwave therapy $85 as a standalone session, or $30 added to a physiotherapy treatment. Physiotherapy from a registered physiotherapist is HST-exempt.
